Grid#Productions is the theatrical production vehicle of Simon Paul. His theatrical experiences began in his mid-teens when he joined the Brycbox Youth Theatre in New Malden. Between 1973 and 1981, there was prolific output and Simon was involved in the majority of productions in some capacity, including:
Zigger Zagger - co-director
The Ruling Class - stage manager
Black Comedy and White Liars - actor (George Bamberger), BC and Stage Manager, WL
Love on the Dole - actor (Policeman)
No Passaran - stage manager
Big Al - stage manager
...to name a few. He also produced photographic back drops for White Liars (which involved time lapse shots at dusk from the end of Worthing pier), No Passaran and Big Al.

Following the formal closure of the theatre, the core of the group continued for a while at pub and other venues before breaking up. Simon and three others then formed a new company, Four Way Theatre and put on two productions at Epsom Playhouse. The first, Us and Them was a parody of the cold war and the second (where Simon played the doctor) was Steven Berkoff's powerful interpretation of Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher.

After acting in a couple of shows at the Barn Theatre, Molesey (The Snow Prince and Death of a Salesman) Simon drifted out of the theatre until...

In 2008, Simon became a founding member of the Southfields Theatre Group in SW London. He wrote and directed its first production of Cinderella. He played a nudist in Forty by Sue and Clive Read, directed the summer 2011 production of Alan Ayckbourn's RolePlay and wrote and directed the 2012 panto, The Frog Prince. He has also contributed material to the Group's charitable reviews and provided technical support to many productions. In September 2016 he again braved the boards as Patrick Bronte in the Group's production of Polly Teale's Bronte.

Simon is currently working on various original scripts and a theatrical adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's magnificent poem, The Raven.
